Back to Karkand DLC is Live

The Battlefield 3 Back to Karkand expansion is live on our servers and FREE for the those who pre-ordered the Limited Edition, which is an overwhelming majority of our community. The expansion can be acquired here if you want to join the DaDs on the new battlefields. The Back to Karkand DLC features a new game mode, 10 new weapons to extend your arsenal  which you can bring back to the base game maps, three classic vehicles from Battlefield 2, including the STOVL fighter jet, great for hovering and capturing bases, Desert Buggy, and an APC, five new dog tags, and an added layer of persistence with the all-new Assignments you need to complete to unlock new weapons.

0 #4 Frag 2011-12-14 14:55 Persistence in this case basically means they are adding a whole new level of gameplay through these assignments that can be unlock new weapons that you can use on the original as well as the new maps. You can also complete the assignments on the original as well as the new maps as someone else mentioned.
